Mount Rainier Vacation Rentals Becomes a Sunspot

PC Dickinson is a retired school teacher on a mission. To live in the mountains, do some serious skiing and operate an enjoyable business. Four years ago she started Mount Rainier Vacation Rental company to do just that.

Located in the village of Greenwater, on the road to renowned Crystal Mountain Ski Resort, Dickinson found a community of second home owners anxious to share their get aways with others. Now she is growing the business by selling it.

"I have just loved working with owners and guests, providing personal service and meeting people from all over the world," says Dickinson." While Northwesterners take Rainier for granted, visitors come from far and wide to visit this magnificent natural area.

"Just recently we were contacted by Sunspot Vacation Rentals, headquartered in Seattle," said Rob Meinert, Dickinson's partner. "They wanted to buy into our business so they could offer our homes to their huge guest client list."

Sunspots operates in a dozen Northwest locations as well as Hawaii and allows location vacation rental managers to gain far wider distribution and visibility for their properties. "The entire idea is to let willing visitors know about wonderful places to stay," said Jim Hough, Sunspot Supervisor.

"We were searching for a way to market our Mt. Rainier to a bigger audience. Sunspots will make that happen," notes Dickinson.

Joseph Romain, creative director for Sunspots has already completed preliminary websites for the area at (MountRainierSunspots.com) "All rentals also appear on numerous other local, regional and national websites such as SeattleSunspots.com and (WashingtonStateSunspots.com)'" says Romain.

Sunspots is hiring a manager to oversee rentals in the Greenwater-Crystal Mountain area plus they will be cooperating with other property managers, lodging operators and rent-by-owners in the area as well as those in the Packwood and Ashford ares to the South and West of the mountain.
